Prancing Peacock

Hand Carved Stone Bas Relief with natural dyes and oils.
Stone is my preferred medium, representing a state of permanence.
However , the dichotomy looms large.
Drop it and it shatters.

Rooted in symbolism, my work aims to capture what resonates with ones spirit and to inspire the viewer.
The peacock represents Awakening, Guidance, Protection, & Watchfulness. In Greco-Roman mythology the Peacock tail has the "eyes" of the stars. In Hinduism, the Peacock is associated with Lakshmi who represents patience, kindness and luck.
