Rich man, poor man, beggar man
Rich man, poor man, beggar man
The title is based on a traditional nursery rhyme where the final sum of the number of cherry kernels from the dessert should give them the answer to what their fate would be as an adult. I needed to paint an honest self-portrait, and since I got some of them at the same time to show in a single picture how unsafe life can look. The artist role is not something you choose, it is also a destiny. German poet Goethe believed that the artist's role can be difficult to avoid if it is predetermined. "In his anger, God condemned me to quit as an actor." You are doomed to it and must try to make the most of it.
